Pasang was introduced to us as a trekking guide about 5 years ago and we trekked with him to Ama Dablam base camp which is an excellent trek if you want to avoid crowds and not go all the way to Everest Base Camp. He was extremely professional at all times and knowledgeable of the area. His choice of lodges for us was excellent yet he was happy in Namche to try our suggestion as we had been before and he was very happy with this. We are regular visitors to Nepal and can generally cope on our own with any situation but we found his support invaluable in helping to ensure smooth checking in process for internal flights as both Kathmandu and Lukla airports are very chaotic. After the trek, I went on a day walk with Pasang to Namo Bouddha in Kathmandu valley. This is an excellent thing to do if you have time – many people unfortunately over look the interesting sites outside the city centre.
